because it is important, and makes me want to dress up

courtney love = stylish. i like. therefore, i feel the need to share.
also, i used to listen to Hole all of the time, but somehow forgot. adulthood is so boring.
so right now my iphone is being hooked up with Celebrity Skin and Live Through This, so i yet again can make people stare at me like i am a freak, while i am in the bus, listening to Violet at a volume that would make my boyfriend want to take a serious talk about how to avoid becoming deaf.

here ya go.

more nail stuff. it's my new thing, ya'll.

you know what i like? when products do what they promise you. i knew it was supposed to work, having had people praise it. but then again, some people claim that self tanning lotion doesn't make you look like a human carrot. so yeah. i don't trust, 'till i try.

the Essie Matte About You stuff REALLY works. in like 3 seconds. it's like magic.

please ignore my crappy nailpolishing job, and observe the difference:

pretty cool, right? just wait 'till i get matte blue, nude, white, mint green or even pale yellow nails. everyone will be jealous. everyone.

if you wanna join the club and be a cool kid, i suggest you go to ebay and get your nailpolishes. i got my last few from an ebay seller, and it only took a few days to arrive.

have you met my new obsession, the vintage denim jumpsuit? it's awesome. and matches my newly blonde hair. i was feeling uninspired yesterday when i wore it, so i ended up not living up to it's full potential.

next time i am planning on wearing it with a pair of printed ankle socks, espadrille wedge sandals and a braid. and the swoon worthy blue essie nailpolish called Lapis Of Luxury. and sunglasses. definitely sunglasses.

saturday full of brilliant ideas and thoughts. who knew?

i've been so insanely busy for the past couple of weeks, mainly keeping up with my friendships, signing up for school, keeping up with the housework and doing insane amounts of laundry. it's been wonderful, but now i'm completely exhausted, and even though i was supposed to do a ton of things today, i decided to sleep in, stay home and treat myself to unhealty amounts of caffeine in agave-sweetened-double-shot-vanilla-soy-lattés and looking up scans of 90s fashion shots. awesome.

so, basically a few things struck me while looking at all of these pictures:
models in the 90s looked happy. models in the 90s looked healthier size wise, and a bit older than the 14 year old skeletons the fashion industry seems to have an ongoing crush on. it makes me a bit sad to see how big the difference really is.
dear fashion industry, i pinky promise i will still buy your clothes if you use older, more healthy looking, smiling models. it makes me happy! i can relate to them! they aren't mannequins made from skin and bones, they are PEOPLE. i like people. people looking fabulous makes me want to be inspired by them, and ask where they got that dress. kthx.

anyway, another thing that struck me was a fantastic idea (or so i'd like to think myself..) - ever since i painted my bedroom all white some time ago, i've been thinking about what to do to make it a liiiittle more cozy and personal. don't get me wrong, me and white boxes are BFF's, but it just needs that extra sumthin' sumthin'.
i thought about making a picture wall in there, but got away from the idea, because i didn't know what pictures i'd like next to my bed - there is just something wrong with having pictures of your mom, overlooking your bed. but today it hit me; fashion shots! i want a nice mood board-esque picture wall, with fantastic pictures of my favourite fashion shots, some helmut newton prints, a brigitte bardot photo, maybe a magazine front poster. totally doable, totally awesome, and a great project. hell yes.

i think that was all of the genius thoughts that hit me during this afternoon. i am slightly hungover, after all.

so now i will retreat to the couch, catch up on the latest Gossip Girl episodes, and eat leftovers. hope you all have a fantastic saturday.

let's spend a moment getting inspired by how awesome the 90's were.

so much awesomeness. i heart the internet.
